The National Disability Insurance Scheme. It’s an opportunity for people with a disability that is less than 65 years old to access the support and care they need.
NDIS is for people living with a severe and permanent disability that restricts their ability to participate in everyday activities.
If you are eligible, you will determine the necessary and reasonable supports that you need in order to live your dream life and reach your goals. These supports can then be paid for with funding.
The eligibility criteria for the NDIS is contingent on a number of factors, including:
You must not be older than 65 at the time of your application.
You have to possess the following: Australian citizen permanent resident or an Australian citizen or permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen who holds a Protected Visa of a Special Category Visa
You must be diagnosed with an ongoing disability that affects your ability to communicate, walk, take care of yourself and lead your daily life.
